Overall odds

How to read “prizes remaining.” These counts are what the lottery still lists as unclaimed. A prize can be in a ticket that has already been sold but not yet claimed, and claims take time to post — so a remaining prize is not a guarantee a winning ticket is still in a store. A game’s printed overall odds come from its original prize structure and do not update as prizes are claimed.

South Dakota publishes the complete prize table for every scratch game (winning and paid counts per tier), so all percentages on the page are computed from the source. The game number shown is the Lottery's IGT game id, the identifier used by its own API and game pages. Odds and sales-end dates are not published; the printed end dates are placeholders years out. Always confirm with the official state lottery before buying.
